Pride as Protest
Let’s be real: While progress has been made in some parts of the world, many in the queer community still face deep, ongoing discrimination. That’s why this event is about going back to where it all started to remind ourselves that this movement has always been about resistance, visibility, and collective power.
Throughout the event, Grounded will be holding space to reflect on what Pride means, share stories and creative expression, and channel those reflections into collective action. Expect interactive workshops and meaningful conversations, along with opportunities to share your work or experiences, make signs for the upcoming Pride Parade, swap clothes, and even jam together — so feel free to bring instruments or anything else that connects you to Pride.
We’re really looking forward to this, and we hope you are too! See you there!
