Knowledge festival bringing generations together at Fort Lunet I
The Fort Lunet I in Utrecht are unique forts and part of the UNESCO World Heritage Dutch Waterlines. Once built to defend the city with water, they are now places full of stories where history, nature, and connection come together.
During Generations on the Line, we celebrate five years of this heritage being part of the UNESCO World Heritage List. At the same time, we look ahead: what can we learn today from the past?
About the event
Generations on the Line is a knowledge festival where younger and older generations come together at Fort Lunet I. A day full of stories, craft, and exchange, where knowledge flows between generations through making, sharing, and learning together.
At the festival, you will explore how knowledge and skills from the past can help us today to live more sustainably, creatively, and resiliently.

Kennisfestival voor jong en oud op Fort Lunet I
De vier Lunetten in Utrecht zijn bijzondere forten en onderdeel van het UNESCOWerelderfgoed Hollandse Waterlinies. Ooit gebouwd om de stad te verdedigen metwater, nu een plek vol verhalen en waar geschiedenis, natuur en ontmoetingsamenkomen.
Tijdens Generaties op de Linie vieren we dat dit erfgoed al vijf jaar op deUNESCO Werelderfgoedlijst staat. En we kijken vooruit: wat kunnen we vandaagleren van het verleden?
Over het evenement
Generaties op de Linie is een kennisfestival voor alle leeftijden, op FortLunet 1. Een dag vol verhalen, ambacht en ontmoeting, waarin jong en oud samenontdekken, maken en leren.
Op het festival ontdek je hoe kennis en vaardigheden van vroeger ons vandaagkunnen helpen om duurzamer, creatiever en veerkrachtiger te leven.
